The Growing Tree Preschool

Hello prospective parents & kids!
I’m very happy that you are considering “The Growing Tree” as a choice to
learn, play, create, imagine and make new friends. I started the Growing
Tree Preschool in 2003 and love being part of children's lives.
I have lived in San Diego since 1979. I am happily married and have two
children. One is now at UC Berkeley and one in high school. Along with
the vast experience derived from being a parent (as you are well aware
of!), I have been an assistant teacher at Noah’s Ark Preschool, a Girl Scout
leader for 5 years and have college credits in early childhood education.
The best references I can offer you are the parents of children that have
attended my preschool. They are always giving me such positive
feedback. Please view photos on this site for visual feedback from happy
former students, as well.
My dream was to create an environment similar to the one that my son,
Nick, was enrolled in when he was of preschool age. His teacher ran a
preschool that was structured in many ways with a daily schedule and
teaching goals but with flexibility required to keep children happy,
interested and motivated. In fact, this was such a wonderful experience for
us that we are still close friends with a family we met there 18 years ago.
My commitment to you and your child is that they will be safe, happy and
always have the attention that I feel preschoolers need as they are in a
small, comfortable setting. Preschool activities will involve stimulating
their creativity, imagination, learning the alphabet, colors, writing, and
most importantly, friendships and FUN!
